Alsaffa to supply Sciessent antimicrobial to country’s textile and apparel manufacturers
Beverly, MA — (July 20, 2020) Through a new business development partnership between Sciessent and Alsaffa Enterprises, Pakistan’s manufacturers will have access to Sciessent’s Agion® antimicrobial technology for the development of advanced textiles and apparel.
The textile industry is a significant contributor to Pakistan’s economy, employing 40 percent of the country’s workforce1 and representing 60 percent of its exports.2 After China, India and Bangladesh, Pakistan is the fourth major producer of cotton in the world. In recent years, cotton yarn textiles and apparel have been the main focus of Pakistan’s cloth industry.3
