Latest innovation in Turmerry’s sustainable product portfolio

Beverly, MA — (May 20, 2021) – Sciessent today announced that Turmerry, a Charlotte, N.C. based manufacturer of green and chemical-free home décor, is offering sheets and pillow covers containing Sciessent’s Agion antimicrobial technology.

Turmerry’s Agion protected product portfolio of natural and organic bedding includes a bed sheet set (fitted sheet, flat sheet and two pillowcases) in king, queen and full sizes; an individual fitted sheet for twin, twin XL and hospital beds; and a pillowcase set in king and queen sizes. All are constructed of 400 thread count long staple BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) cotton that is Oekotex approved.

Sciessent’s Agion antimicrobial helps keep textiles clean by preventing 99.9% of bacterial growth; providing resistance to mold, mildew and fungi; and delivering powerful odor control. The “smartest” antimicrobial in the industry, Agion only activates when it needs to defend against microbes, thereby providing the longest lasting protection. Agion is EPA registered, bluesign® approved and listed on the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Foundation ZDHC Gateway.

“Turmerry only works with vendors that follow the strictest environmental standards, so we are honored that they have chosen us as their partner,” said Sciessent CEO Paul C. Ford. “Both Sciessent and Turmerry share an unwavering commitment to preserving and protecting natural resources. Together we are offering consumers high performance textiles designed for safety and sustainability.”
