Follett Corporation Enhances Symphony™ Ice and Water Dispensers with Agion® Antimicrobial Product Protection
Wakefield, MASS., July 3,2012 -Follett Corporation, experts in designing and manufacturing premium ice makers and ice and water dispensers for the food service and healthcare industries, and Sciessent, maker of long lasting Agion® brand antimicrobial, today announced a product line expansion to Follett’s industry-leading Symphony™ ice and water dispensers. These upgrades include the incorporation of Agion antimicrobial product protection into key ice and water contact components in all Symphony dispensers.
Improving sanitation is part of Follett’s continuous quest to provide innovative solutions that promote freshness in healthcare, food service and hospitality markets, and the addition of Agion antimicrobial product protection is another initiative in support of this mission. Agion branded antimicrobial technology is based on elemental ions and makes products cleaner and longer lasting by providing built-in protection against damaging microbes. Unlike sprays that are useful short term, Agion’s antimicrobial solution provides continuous surface protection against microbes for the useful life of the product.
